The Chief Executive Officer of the County Assemblies Forum (CAF), Ms. Lonah Losem, today paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), Dr. Daniel Mutegi Giti, as part of ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships that promote inclusive and peaceful governance at the county level. The meeting focused on identifying areas of mutual interest where the two institutions can collaborate, particularly in enhancing cohesion, integration, and the mainstreaming of inclusivity within devolved governance structures. Both CAF and NCIC acknowledged the critical role that county assemblies play in shaping legislation and fostering community-level dialogue and agreed on the need for targeted initiatives that promote national unity while respecting diversity. The two CEOs committed to continued engagement and joint programming that will contribute to the promotion of peaceful coexistence, equitable development, and responsive governance across Kenya’s 47 counties. CAF remains committed to supporting county legislatures in advancing national values and principles of governance, including inclusivity, equality, and social justice.
