Members of the County Assemblies Forum (CAF) Women Caucus joined national stakeholders at the official launch of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) Strategic Plan 2025–2029, held at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi. The event, presided over by the Cabinet Secretary for Gender, brought together leaders from government, civil society, and development partners to outline a roadmap for promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and non-discrimination over the next five years. CAF’s participation in the launch highlights its commitment to advancing the gender agenda within the devolved governance space. The Forum continues to advocate for inclusive legislative processes, increased representation of women in county leadership, and policy reforms that address systemic inequalities. The NGEC Strategic Plan 2025–2029 sets forth key priorities aimed at strengthening institutional accountability, promoting equal access to opportunities, and safeguarding the rights of marginalized groups, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities. CAF reaffirms its support for gender-responsive governance and remains a strong partner in national efforts to empower women leaders and foster equality across Kenya’s 47 counties.
