The County Assemblies Forum (CAF), represented by the Chairman, Secretary General, and the Speaker of Wajir County Assembly, recently paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, CBS, OGW.

During the meeting, CAF extended its congratulations to the Inspector General on his appointment and raised critical security concerns affecting Members of County Assemblies (MCAs). A key issue discussed was the recent abduction of Hon. Yussuf Hussein, MCA for Dela/Anole Ward, Wajir County.

In response, the Inspector General assured CAF of the National Police Service’s commitment to expedite the search for Hon. Yussuf Hussein. He also pledged to establish a liaison office dedicated to addressing security issues affecting Members of County Assemblies, ensuring their safety and well-being moving forward.

This engagement underscores CAF’s commitment to advocating for the security and welfare of its members across the country.
